Reading Stephen Orr's letter in April 2020 BH&G, I realized how important it is to share the different ways we experience color. Grateful to Meredith publications for permission to share his article, you are able to read it here.
Synesthesia is a neurological condition in which two or more senses experienced separately are involuntarily joined together.
"Synesthetes perceive certain sensory experiences via more than one sens at a time. (Synesthesia has its roots in the Greek words for perceiving together.") They might smell a particular scent when hearing sounds or be able to taste words, for example."
